He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew R. Temple and Helen Mae Brown Temple; his former wife Patricia Garrison Temple; and his granddaughter Brianna Veney. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Elliott (Davis); his children, Raven S. Simmons (Matthew) of Port Republic, Michael T. of Denver, Andrew T. Temple of Linville and Shannon L. Johnson (Kim) of Luray; his sisters, Elsie Sampson of Houston and Doris Neal (Harry) of Harrisonburg; his grandchildren, Kendrick of Washington, Kienna Veney, Jed Simmons, Cheyenne Simmons and Nyla Curry; and his friends, Mike Dean of West Virginia and James Ogg of West Virginia.
