She was predeceased by: her parents, Ward E. Beery and Mary Showalter Beery; her husband Noah L. Rodes; her granddaughter Sharla Rodes King; and her siblings, Ruth Shirk, David Beery, Mabel Knicley, Joseph Beery, Daniel Beery, Hettie Rohrer, Emory Beery and Mary Beery.
She is survived by: her children, Marie Showalter (Nelson) of Port Republic, Nelson Rodes (Dawn) of Port Republic, Glenn Rodes (Sheri) of Port Republic and Allen Rodes (Krista) of Port Republic; her grandchildren, Marlan Showalter, Sherman Showalter, Marilla Melcher, Evan Showalter, Gary Rodes, Justin Rodes, Adam Rodes, Kelsie Garber, Cara Rodes, Erica Rodes, Lorna Knicely, Brady Rodes and Corina Rodes; her siblings, Wilda Beery of Harrisonburg, Anna Rohrer of Dayton and Ward Beery (Sadie) of Dayton; and her sister-in-law Mary Beery of Dayton. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
She also crocheted over 500 lap robes which she donated to hospice and gave to family and friends.
