It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Woodrow Everette Hitt of Poquoson, Virginia, who passed away on June 18, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobbie Bruce Britt Hitt and Jesse Everette Hitt; and his brother Fredrick Jesse Hitt. He is survived by: his wife Nina Hitt; his children, Karen Rogers, Robert Dotson, Jr. (Kim), Thomas Dean Dotson (Angela) and Amy Mercado (Eddie); his grandchildren, Danielle Dornbush, Chase Dornbush, Devon Rogers, Robert Dotson, III (Manoe), Christofer Dotson (Karen), Casey Corbin (Brad) and Morgan Jacobs (Cory); his children, Kristina Thompson, Eddie Mercado, Jr. and Megan Campbell; his great grandchildren, Colton Dornbush, Charlotte Rogers, Kylie Marie Dotson, Christofer Allen Dotson, Jr., Luka Dotson, Benjamin Dotson, Cyrus Dotson and Rowan Dotson; his brother Bruce Hitt (JoAnn Hitt); his sister-in-law Joan Lewis Hitt; his nephew Mark; his stepgrandchildren, Emily Marie Minne (Kevin), Lori Hitt Lorson (Jayson), Whitney Hitt Culp (Chris), Harrison Hitt and Maggie Hitt Hall (Payton); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Mackenzie Minne, Logan Culp, Christian Culp, Trey Hitt, Tanner Hitt, Carter Hall and Lawson Hall; his close friends, Donnie and Sandy White of The Villages; and also Wally (Debbie).
