He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Benton and Helen Benton. He is survived by: his wife Lillie Benton; his daughter Paulette Holloway (Kenny); his grandchildren, Wesley Backus (Tina), Forrest Holloway (Kelly), Jamie Holloway, Danielle Griffin (Kevin) and Justin Holloway (Chelsey); his great grandchildren, Brayden Backus, Mackenzie Holloway, Jayce Backus, Chase Holloway, Bailey Holloway, Hunter Brown, Heidi Holloway and Payton Holloway; his niece Marissa Lovingood; his nephews, Steve Jackson, Barry Jackson and Allen Jackson; and his pet Kona.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Poquoson Volunteer Rescue Squad, Volunteer Fire Company and Poquoson Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary at 1035 Poquoson Avenue, Poquoson, VA 23662.
