He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Evans; and his sister Rosalyn Topping. He is survived by: his daughters, Sharon Smith and Shannon McMichael; his grandchildren, Thomas Smith (Emily), Jonathan Smith, Christopher McMichael and Brittany McMichael; and his great grandchildren, Audrianna Hockaday-McMichael, Leslie Smith, Leon Hockaday-McMichael and Dylan Smith.
