He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Russell Hastings and Nellie Wilson Hastings of Virginia; and his brother Douglas R. Hastings (Deanna W. Hastings). He is survived by: his wife Deanna; his children, Roger Jr., Karen Hastings and Heather Salvador; his granddaughter Megan McDonald (Dan); his great grandchild Cameron; his sister Judy Allen Hannagan; and his great-niece Aura. He is also survived by his nephews, niece, and great nephews.
