With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Edwin Firman Sr. of Poquoson, Virginia, who passed away on November 24, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid James farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For James is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Firman and Alice Firman. He is survived by: his wife Nannie Bell Firman; his sons, Nate Firman (Lorrie) and Eddie Firman, Jr. (Alice Shelton); and his grandchildren, Cheerish Firman, Bubba Firman, Anita Shibuya, Damion Firman and Melissa Firman. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Claytor Rollins Funeral Home (836 Poquoson Ave, Poquoson, VA 23662). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Eastern Cemetery E Cemetery (207 Ridge Rd, Poquoson, VA 23662).
