He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel Ballard and Harry Ballard, Sr.; his siblings, Harry Ballard, Jr., Meredith Ballard, Tom Ballard and Natalie Bell (Joyce Ballard); and his son Bruce Ballard.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Ballard, Jr. (Valerie) and Janet Goodman (Eric); and his grandchildren, Mason Ballard, Ryland Ballard (Amy), Aaron Goodman (Kristin), Daniel Goodman (Kate) and Jonathan Goodman (Sarah). He is also survived by five great grandchildren and "Lucky," his cat.
