She was predeceased by: her mother Myrtle Gay Divers Saunders; her husband Carson Woodson Brumfield; her children, Jerry Brumfield and Sharon Kay Norcutt; and her siblings, Melvin Saunders, Hubert Saunders and Jewell Rowland.
She is survived by: her son Ken Brumfield of Chatham; and her brother Dale Saunders (Peggy) of Altavista. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
