He was predeceased by: his father Spencer G. Key, Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Shirley Tilley Key; and his wife Erica.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Tiny Tigers Rescue, PO Box 207, Toast, NC 27049.
