It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Lee Jessie of Pilot, Virginia, born in Red Ash, Virginia, who passed away on March 22, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeanette Lane and William Jessie; his stepmother Pearl Jessie; and his siblings, Sandra Blankenship and Michael Jessie.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Jessie; his children, Lynn Dunway, Donna Fortune, Rodney Jessie (Lisa), Sean Jessie and Renee Graham; his grandchildren, Jimmy Roberts, Christy Roberts, Lauren Fortune, Rachel Fortune, Brandon Jessie, Nathan VanHoy, Alex Jessie, Alyssa Hodge, Julianna Likens, Kirsten Lawson, Stanley Lawson, Logan Jessie (Jaci), Liam Jessie, Ashleigh Jessie, Evan Jessie and Matthew Graham; and his siblings, Donnie Jessie (Peggy) and Teresa Ososki (John). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Lighthouse Family Ministries Church or St. Jude's Childrens Hospital in Roger's name.
