She was predeceased by: her parents, Gallie Horn and Voila Horn; her daughter Susie Spencer; her sons-in-law, C. A. Hess and Bobby Vance; and her siblings, Inez Rife, Vina Barkley, Kathy Horn, Ralph Horn, Lawrence Horn, Jim Horn and Gallie Horn Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Kermit Rife of Pilgrims Knob, VA; her children, Judy Vance of Shortt Gap, VA, Maria Sparks (Tim) of Shortt Gap, VA, Ricky Horn (Hilda) of Bristol, TN, James Rife (Paula) of Marvin, VA and Kenneth Rife (Geneva) of Bland, VA; and her sisters, Nina Whited (Roger) of Raven, VA, Dora Gragg of Pilgrims Knob, VA, Linda Proffitt of Bristol, VA, Wanda Horn of Pilgrims Knob, VA, Virginia "Bunny" Anthony, Susie Smith of Pounding Mill, VA and Peggy McGinnis (Larry) of Paintlick, VA.. She is also survived by 56 grandchildren, including great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 6:00 PM and on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 12:00 PM.
