He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Cole and Fannie Marie Vandyke Cole; his wife Callie Stevenson Cole; his children, Debbie Allen and Randy Cole; and his siblings, Lillie Cole, Nola Cole, Goldie Breeding, Lonna Griffith, Dennis, Dewey, Stuart, Clyde, Andrew, Luther, Hubard, Robert and Alfred Cole.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Mutter (Russell) of Abingdon, VA, Greg Cole (Lynn) of Pounding Mill, VA, Gene Cole of Cedar Bluff, VA and Jackie Cole (Janet) of Bassett, VA.; his grandchildren, Courtney Cole-Hackworth, Chase Cole, Randy Cole, Brandon Harris, Kristie Brewster and Allen Lester (Jonathon Lester); his great grandchildren, Callie Hackworth, Reese Hackworth and Karson Hackworth; and his close friends, Jimmy, Emily Brown, Ronnie Grove, Troy, Shirley Lester, Doug Whitt, Linda Keen and Gary Keen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
