He was predeceased by: his father George C. Perry Compton; his brothers, Donald Compton, Gene Compton and Perry Wake Keen (P. K.); and his niece Bridgette Compton.
He is survived by: his mother Stella Keen Compton of Bent Mountain, VA; his wife Carol Sue Clark Compton of Pilgrims Knob, VA; his son Bradley Page Compton (Morgan) of Pilgrims Knob, VA; his siblings, Wanda Sue Pritt (Charles) of Bent Mountain, VA, Gay Prater of Bristol, TN, Lakia Roberts (Sammy) of Goodview, VA, Trula Compton of Pilgrims Knob, VA, Kenneth Keen (Nancy) of Radford and Danny Keen (Marie) of Troutville, VA.; and his grandchildren, Adalynn Paige Compton and Tucker Lee Compton.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Shortridge Ramey Funeral Home of Oakwood (1020 Big Skeggs Road, Oakwood, VA 24631). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel, Keen Mountain.
