She is survived by: her siblings, Katrine Nelson-Bey, Yvonne Phelps-Bey, Zenoba Powell and Ravanna Nelson-Bey; her siblings-in-law, Matilda Taylor, Sabine Ponton, Janice Ponton, Steven Powell, Charles "Billy" Ponton Jr., Cary Ponton and William "Bill" Taylor; her significant other Andrew Scott; her former husband Bernard Ponton (Iris); her children, Shanequa Ponton (Daniel), Ishmael Nelson-Bey (LaTosha), Shanelle Ponton, Bernard Ponton-Bey, Zcharvay Ponton-Bey, Zakiya Ponton-Bey (Thomas) and Mozayah Ponton-Bey (Toni); her grandchildren, Jayden, Jay'von, Arihana, Ja'Liyah, Ja'Heem, Ahmad, Jah'Vier, Justyce, Aiyeshah, Jymeni and Amyrah; her great grandchild Lyric; and her friend Moorish. She is also survived by God children, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc. (102 South Ave, Petersburg, VA 23803). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc. (102 South Ave, Petersburg, VA 23803). A burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at the Moorish Cemetery (12131 Centennial Rd, Prince George, VA 23875).
