It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Stanley Parker (Petersburg, Virginia), who passed away on March 12, 2020, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Parker and Evelyn Flowers Parker; his siblings, Teaner Flowers Griffin (Willie), Pearline Flowers Weaver (William, Jr.) and Charles Freeman; his aunt Alberta Parker Jefferson; his uncle Garland Eugene Flowers; his nephew Wayne Weaver; and his sisters-in-law, Diane Tucker Flowers and Carolyn Taylor Parker.
He is survived by: his wife Pastor Catherine T. Parker; his children, Marquis Parker (Traci) of Evanston, IL, Monica White (Frankie) of King George, VA and Melissa Scott (Ivan) of Greensboro, NC; his adoptive daughter Heather Lewis of Spotsylvania, VA; his grandchildren, Thomas Parker, Kendal, Kaeli, Kaleb White, Ivan, India, Isaiah Scott, Chloe Blue and Julian Lewis; his brothers, Stith Flowers, Sr. of Ettrick, VA and Carlton Parker of Stony Creek, VA; his siblings-in-law, Herman Taylor, Linwood Taylor (Deidre), Brevard Taylor (Debra), Sharon Streat, Mollie Bonner and Stella Taylor (Nathaniel); and his nieces and nephews, Bernard Flowers, Sr. (Cornell), Stith Flowers, Jr. (Stephanie), CaShawn Parker, Shawn Freeman, Cheryl Hines (John), Sharon Weaver-Choice (Kendrick), Carol Freeman and Chavon Parker. He is also survived by nine great nieces and four great nephews, as well as numerous cousins, extended family, and friends.
