He is survived by: his parent Anna Lee Watkins Darkins; his sisters, Geraldine Darkins Simmons (Grover) of Decatur, GA and Joan Darkins Smith of Laurel, MD; his nephew Joseph Smith of Laurel, MD; and his niece Sylvia Smith Evans (Mark) of Lanham, MD.
