He was predeceased by: his father William Edward Cox, Sr.; and his sister Betrechia Cox-Pettigrew (Frank). He is survived by: his daughter Tanesha Cox Harris; his granddaughter Tova Laniece Harris (Anthony); his siblings, Brenda Cox Bailey (Emmett), Valerie Cox Suddieth (Calvin) and Mark Cox, Sr. (Kim); his siblings-in-law, Mazel Mitchell, Bertha Boyd of Weldon, NC and Willie Boyd Sr. (Shireen); his aunt Delores Bunch Roslyn; his cousin Edith Irby of Philadelphia, PA.; and his nieces and nephews, Aisha Acham (Marcus), David M. Bailey (Joy), Cassandra (John) of Washington, Lori Ruffin (Marques), Matthew of Washington, Mark Cox, Jr. and Ashlee Cox. He is also survived by his great nieces, nephews and cousins.
