It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Hinnant (Petersburg, Virginia), born in Chesterfield, Virginia, who passed away on June 12, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Levi Robertson and Marie Harris Robertson; her husband Hurbert Hinnant; and her siblings, Malcolm Robertson, Paul Robertson, Jr., Wilbert Robertson, Ernestine Bracey and Grace Allen.
She is survived by: her siblings, Robert Robertson (Virginia), Dorothy Robertson Whipple and Eva Mae Barksdale of Georgia; her godson Norman D. Cooley, Jr.; her siblings-in-law, Sarah Robertson, Ella N. Baskerville (Joseph), Johnny Hinnant and Henry Peacock; her friend Brenda Wynne of Matoaca, VA; and her niece Robin Powell. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, god-children, cousins, other relatives and friends.
