She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Lee Jefferson (Thomas) and Eddie Goodwyn, Sr. (Beatrice); her husband Bernard Edward Brown; her daughter Dionco Vontaire Brown; her brothers, Peter and Larry Goodwyn (Debbie); her aunts and uncles, Lillian Shands, Carrie Diggs, Leonard "Edward" and Frank McKensie; and her friend James Dickerson.

She is survived by: her children, Letecia Green, Bernardette Brown of Petersburg, VA, Luteenya Jones of North Carolina and Jamar Jones of Dinwiddie, VA; her grandchildren, Chantel Wright of Ellenwood, GA and Rickesha Green of Petersburg, VA; her great grandchild Kendall Jones of Ellenwood, GA; her aunts, Alice Williams of Sutherland, VA, Catherine "Ella" McKensie and Janice Diggs of Petersburg, VA; her siblings, Andrew Jefferson of Petersburg, VA, Eddie Goodwyn, Jr. of Delaware, Rosalie Rudd of Delaware, Barbara Gayle of Delaware and Vanessa Goodwyn of Delaware; her siblings-in-law, Barbara Love of Amelia, VA, Frances Brown of Amelia, VA, Bernice Brown of Richmond, VA, Martha Brown of Sutherland, VA, Helen Terry of Florida and Waverly Brown, Sr. (Ann) of Chase City, VA; and her sister Louise Coggins of South Chesterfield, VA.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
