He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph E. Burgess and Hettie Warren Burgess; his wife Judy Taylor Burgess; and his sister Nancy Getz. He is survived by: his children, Joseph "Joey" Burgess (Hilary) and Annette Haywood (Buster); his grandchildren, Hunter Haywood (Kiley), Courtney Cox (Baker), Whitney Haywood, Maya Burgess and Haley Burgess; his great grandchildren, Huxton Haywood, Walker Cox and Owen Cox; and his stepdaughters, Alice Gail Matthews (Kevin) and Leslie Goodrich (Ronnie Jr.). He is also survived by children and grandchildren.
