He is survived by: his wife Carrie Stewart; and his children, William Leonard, Jr., Silas Leonard, Waliyyuddin Abdullah Najee Ullah (Monique), Linda Johnson, George Leonard, Edward Leonard, Anthony Leonard and Gretchen Branch. He is also survived by siblings, Charmaine Friend (John); Command Sergeant Major Larry Stewart; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
