It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Voorhees (Petersburg, Virginia), born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on June 22, 2019, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her brother Allen; her husband Herbert Voorhees; and her son Craig Gandy. She is survived by: her sister Maude Hamilton; her daughters, Lorraine Voorhees, Dianne B. Voorhees and Nancy V. Seymore; and her sister Ruth Fitzgerald. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; and a host of great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
