She is survived by: her sons, Kwame Mayes of Grand Prairie, Keo Walker of Petersburg, VA and Kevin Thorne of Washington, DC; her daughter-in-law Janel Mayes of Grand Prairie; her grandchildren, Brennen Mayes of Maryland, Kierra Walker, KeVon Walker of Alabama, Kaliyn Gibson and Camerin Silas of Grand Prairie; her goddaughter Alysia Williams; her sister Shelley Sullins; her friend Ruth Maclin; and also Paulette Lathan. She is also survived by classmates and friends.
