It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phillip E. Johnson (Petersburg, Virginia), who passed away on July 4, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleveland Johnson and Martha Jones Johnson; his siblings, Gloria Wyatt, Cleveland Johnson, Jr. and Oswald Belote; his brothers-in-law, Richard Wyatt and Willie Wyatt; and his stepmother Laurice Belote Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Williams Johnson of Lumberton, NC; his daughters, Kim Johnson of North Dinwiddie, Tracey Johnson-Jones of Chester and Tyanna Johnson of Petersburg; his siblings, Phyllis Wyatt, DeWitt, Linda Chambliss (Robert) of Mechanicsville, Barbara Ardoin of Houston, TX, Yolanda Beloate of Petersburg and Ronald Johnson (Connie); his grandson Nicholas Jones II; his aunt Fannie Johnson; his former wife Thelma Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Marion Johnson, Louise Cade, Ruth Woolridge, Vera Walker, Benjamin Robinson (Katie) and Webster Robinson (Dorothy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
