She was predeceased by: her mother Annie Smith; her husband George McDaniel; her siblings, Mary Francis Smith, James Smith and Monroe Edwards; and her aunts and uncles, Queen, Lena, Dick and Garfield.
She is survived by: her daughter Harriet Davis; her caregiver Tamika Davis-Coleman; her grandson Dwayne Davis; her great grandchildren, Terrika, Diamon Davis, Dwayne Davis, Jr. and Kinsley Jones; her grandson-in-law Marcus Coleman; her sister Lilly Mae Kelley; and her friends, Dee Athey, Bernice Crawley, Lillian Massenburg, Dorothy Kelley, Thomas Pale and Clem Brown.
