She was predeceased by: her father Fred D. Martin; her grandmother Alice P. Harper; her aunts and uncles, Althea H. Dickerson, Grace Harper, Fred D. Harper, Jr. and Samuel Harper; her siblings-in-law, Grace M. Townes and Dr. Charles H. Townes; and her stepson David Myron Townes.
She is survived by: her mother Alice Perry Harper Martin; her stepchildren, William Michael Townes (Kimberly) of Pennsylvania, Susan Townes (Malcolm West) of New York and Judith Herzberg Ph; her cousins, Otelia Boswell (Theodore) of Richmond, Eunice Lee of Crewe, VA, Tyrone Mills of Detroit, MI and Jesse Harrell; and her caregiver Gracie White. She is also survived by many cousins on the mother's side of her family.
