He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert P. Holmes and Christine Holmes of Haverhill, Massachusetts.; and his brother Robert P. Holmes, Jr. (Malcolm). He is survived by: his sons, Malcolm L. Holmes, Jr., Brent C. Holmes and Bryan Gergas; his grandchildren, Derrick I. Holmes, Shaylie A. Holmes and Cierra N. Holmes; his great grandchildren, King Jason Holmes and Alessia Moon Demaio; his daughter-in-law Kara L. Holmes; his brother George E. Holmes; his sister-in-law Jenny Holmes of Daleville, Virginia; and his pet Sable. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
