She is survived by: her daughters, Varel Nichols of Bronx and Gail Jackson-Whitney of Bronx; her grandchildren, Racquel Robinson (Rocqui) of Berkeley, California, Chaz Nichols (Nicky) of Oakland, California and Torren Whitney of Oakland, California; her siblings, Hazel Pierce, Preston Bailey, Alvinia Thomas, Henderson Bailey and Ola Rice; and her siblings-in-law, Gertrude Franklin, Sadie Williams, Gerline Bailey and Pastor Willie Thomas, Jr.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
