Newbill; his children, Johnese Saunders of Washington, DC, Geneva Newbill of Washington, DC, Symona Burch of Philadelphia, PA, Symaya Burch of Philadelphia, PA, Lewis A. Newbill IV of Henrico, VA, Mark and Toya Yarde of Maryland; his grandchildren, Iyanna, Johnathan, Anthony, Jade, Victoria, Mai and Lela; his siblings, Doris Lindler (Bill) of Roanoke, VA, Tawana Williams (Jimmy) of Roanoke, VA, Ethel Callaway (Thomas) of Penhook, VA, Pastor Rodney Newbill (Melissa) of Rocky Mount, VA and Warren Newbill of Petersburg, VA; his daughter Minister Nicole Jackson of North Carolina; and his cousin Marcia Robertson. He was also cherished by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Tab Battle wrote a sympathy message

“I knew Rev Newbill from college at VSU. He was so nice, kind, authentic and loved Jesus. He always had a smile on his face. I am thankful to have known him. To the Newbill family, I am truly sorry for his loss, if you need anything at all I am here. Jesus is always with you. Always, Ms. Tab Battle”
