It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leola Scott of Petersburg, Virginia, who passed away on November 24, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben L. Scott and Adell Diggs Scott; and his siblings, Lottie Scott Graves, Ben L. Scott and Jerome "Jerry" Scott.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Scott Edlow (Anderson), Linda Ardelle Scott and Leon Wilson Scott (Lisa); his grandchildren, Amanda Edlow, Brian Scott, Casey Edlow Robinson (Byran) and Justin Scott; his sister Florence Scott Graves (Willie); his nephew Marion Graves; his siblings-in-law, Leonard Wilson of Worcester and Shirley Hughes of Wichita Falls, Texas.; and his friend Gloria H. Howard. He is also survived by brother and sister in addition to host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
Viewing was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc. (102 South Ave, Petersburg, VA 23803-4220). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Tabernacle Baptist Church (418 Halifax St, Petersburg, VA 23803). A burial was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at the Dinwiddie Memorial Park (7324 Church Rd, Petersburg, VA 23803).
