It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laverne C. Eldridge of Petersburg, Virginia, who passed away on October 3, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Constance LaVerne Eldridge; and her significant other Larry Wells. She is survived by: her sisters, Jacqueline Eldridge, Joan Eldridge Jackson (James) of Atco, NJ, Diane Eldridge Fields (late Dudley Sr.) and Cathy Eldridge Robinson (John Sr.); her mother Irene Wilson of New York; her nieces and nephews, Shelley Eldridge of Atco, NJ, LaShawn Robinson Claiborne (Clarence, Sr.), Karen Eldridge-Reed (late Victor), Kevin Eldridge (Katie) of Tampa, FL, Dudley Fields, Jr. (Trisha) of Oceanside, CA, Darnell Fields and John Robinson, Jr.; her pets, Mollie and Laverne; and her friend Barbara Crocker. She is also survived by great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
