Tompkins; his siblings-in-law, Frank Bell of Jacksonville, Florida, Elnora Tompkins of Montross, Hazel Hill, Cynthia Ivory (Leo) and Carletha McEnnis (Ronald) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his cousin Shirley G. Powell of Washington, D. C.; his child Langston Maceo Tompkins, Jr.; his brothers, Joseph A. Tompkins and George Fleming; his cousin Calvin J. Powell, Jr.; and his parents, Joseph A. Tompkins, Sr. and Ruth Powell Tompkins. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
