Owens, Jr. (Shirley); her foster sister Roberta Smith; her nieces and nephews, Tracy O. Somers, Edward J. Goode II, Eric A. Goode and Jonathan Owens; her goddaughter Sharlene Davis; and her sisters-in-law, Troyanne Hogan, Rebecca Wyatt, Bonnie Mason and Elva Ward. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
