It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Robinson Sr. of Petersburg, Virginia, who passed away on April 15, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Robinson, Sr. and Hattie Green Robinson; his siblings, Joyce Robinson, Rudolph, Richard, Jr., Roy and Jerome Robinson; his parents-in-law, Constance Eldridge and David Edmonds; and his sisters-in-law, Laverne Eldridge and Joan Jackson (James).
He is survived by: his wife Cathy "Tudy" Eldridge Robinson; his child LaShawn Robinson Claiborne (Clarence); his grandchildren, John Robinson, Jr. (Tierra Woodley), Clarence "CJ" Claiborne, Jr., Cameron Claiborne and Jada Robinson; his siblings, Lois Robinson, Beverly Robinson, Jacqueline Robinson Eldridge and Herman Robinson; and his siblings-in-law, Jacqueline Eldridge, Diane Fields, Yvette Rose (Big Melvin), Jerome Edmonds and Nathaniel Edmonds. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
