He was predeceased by: his parents, Estel W. Kidd and Helen Rayhill Kidd; and his siblings, Walter, David, Gary Kidd and Sue Chaplain.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Kidd; his children, John E. Kidd Jr., Teresa L. Merhout of Petersburg and Tammy A. Catanese (Charles) of Petersburg; his grandsons, Marc A. Merhout and Victor A. Merhout; his siblings, Charles Kidd, Arby Richards and Katherine Plott (Buzz); and his pet Peanut. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
