He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Herbert and Lucy Byrd; his stepfather George Eley; and his aunts, Clarissa and Ernestine Byrd.
He is survived by: his wife Arlethia Dearing; his sons, Glenn Jr. (Keshia) of Ashburn, VA, Ryan and Jaydon of Prince George, VA; his mother Everlena Eley of Stafford, VA; his mother-in-law Ida Byrd of Dendron, VA; his uncle Herbert Leon Byrd (Geraldine) of Elberon, VA; his grandson Michael Dearing; his siblings, Sharon Smith (Timmy) of Stafford, VA and Kevin Eley (Charita) of Bealeton, VA; his father-in-law Joe Pope (Wanda) of Fredericksburg, VA; and his siblings-in-law, Aretha Hudson (Geoffrey) of Newport News, VA, Aaron Byrd (Katina) of Amelia, VA and Jonathan Pope (Tameika) of Bowie, MD. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Due to COVID-19, the homegoing service for Elder Dearing will be private.
