It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Glenda Gholson of Petersburg, Virginia, who passed away on September 17, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert Wingfield and Alice Wingfield; her siblings, Robert Jr., James Daniel, Pauline, Leon, Sharing, T. A. Lacy Sanctuary Choir and Chosen Generation; her grandchildren, L'Antonio Gholson, Ti'Mari Gholson, Richard Liles III, Ja'Kai Gholson-Garnes, Elijah Gilliam, Kayla Burnette, Jaeda Gilliam, Darryl Gilliam II and Destini Gilliam; her great grandchildren, Lawrence A. Gholson III, Ro'Mir Gholson and Kase Jaxon Gholson; her siblings, Samuel Wingfield (Katriana) and Allie Mae Henderson; her sisters-in-law, Sarah Wingfield, Mary A. Gholson, Barbara Gholson and Linda Gholson; her nieces, Sheila Henderson and Patricia Jones; and her sister Friend Joan Austin (Monique LaCroix). She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and former co-workers.
