He was predeceased by: his parents, Lula and Edward Jefferson, Sr.; his wife Bertha Jefferson; his children, Calvin Jefferson and Syndell Mason; and his sister Ada Thorpe.
He is survived by: his children, Gilbert Jefferson, Jr. (Brenda Hankerson), Carolyn Jefferson, Warren Jefferson, Curtis Jefferson and Betty Fairley; his sister Bernice Royster; and his friend Mike McKensie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
