Gerald K. Hill Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 13, 2025, at the age of 89, Gerald K. Hill of Petersburg, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Kenneth Hill and Mamie Madeline Hill Wilson; his stepfather T. Rayner Wilson; and his in-laws, John E. Humphrey Jr. and Eunice Humphrey.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Lee Humphrey Hill; his children, Jeri Lynn McClure (Randy) of Martinsburg, Kenneth L. Hill (Alice) of Charles Town, Jonathan R. Hill of Petersburg and Michael D. Hill (Abigail) of Martinsburg; his grandchildren, Sydney, Alex, Emily, Caroline, Logan, Chris, Kiersten and Kari; his sister Joy Bowen of Lusby, Maryland; and his siblings-in-law, Bonnie Zinn-Taylor (Kirk) of Lusby, Maryland and Jay Humphrey (Rita) of Branford, Connecticut. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home (11 N Main St, Petersburg, WV 26847). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grove Street United Methodist Church, Petersburg, West Virginia.
