She is survived by: her daughter Vanessa Armistead Downey (Darryl); her grandsons, David Lewis Downey (Tabitha) and Travis Jackson Downey; her great grandchildren, Eli and Emily Downey; her sister Dorothy Frances Barbini; and her nieces, Karol Nichols Cairns and Theresa Nichols Mangum (Jimmy).
