It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elder Maurice K. Mason (Petersburg, Virginia), who passed away on November 22, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Pastor Annetta D. Mason; and his siblings, Anna Wilson, Walter Mason, Fannie Mason and Beverly Hunt.
He is survived by: his great grandchildren, Armani, Donovan and Nicholas Myrick; his children, Phyills Hawkins, Alonzo and James Butler; his grandchildren, Nekondeh McClain-Myrick, Sada Ruffin, Lakisha Ruffin, James Morse, Shamario Blakes, Chiquita Blakes, Tequilsha Blakes and Annetta Rose Butler; his brother Deacon Charles Mason; his sisters-in-law, Yvonne S. Peace and Yolanda Hawkins; his godson Rev. Alexander Williams; his niece Rev. Brenda Cherry; his nephew Mario Hawkins; and his close friend Rev. Merton Willams. He is also survived by eighteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
