She was predeceased by: her parents, Adelious McCray and Mazie McCray; and her siblings, Langston McCray, Adelious McCray, Jr., John McCray, Thomas McCray, Thelma Batts, Mazie Batts and Laura Allen.
She is survived by: her husband Deacon Thomas H. Brown; her son Daryl N. Brown (Stephanie); her grandchildren, Brandie Hawley of Petersburg and Alex Brown of Georgia; her sisters, Doris M. Piercy (John) of Dinwiddie and Gloria M. Merrick (Deacon James) of Dinwiddie; her siblings-in-law, Rev. Doris McCray of Petersburg, Mattie McCray of Dinwiddie, Erma Brown of Disputanta and Deacon Floyd Brown; and her nephews, James Brown, Jr. of Virginia Beach and Donald Glover, Jr. of Dinwiddie. She is also survived by cousins and friends.
