He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandparents, Robert, Sarah Armstrong, Sr., James III and Vivian Wilkerson; his wife Bettye; his children, Muriel Jones (Daryl), Raven Whitehurst (Deraun) and John Wilkerson III; his grandchildren, Jasmin, Destiny, Nathaniel, Olivia, Daryl Jr., Sydney and Justin; his mother Muriel Wilkerson; his siblings, Garland Wilkerson (Jennifer) and Pamela Sutton (Emerson); his uncle Robert Armstrong, Jr.; his siblings-in-law, Mary Harrison (Orlander), James Brown (Mary), Walter Brown (Judy) and Shad McEachin; and his friend Deacon Marvin Coleman. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
