He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Rose and Louise Blackmon Rose; his grandparents, Claude and Mattie Blackmon; and his father-in-law Rudolph Ogilvie.

He is survived by: his wife Paula Rose; his daughter Amanda Rose; his daughter-in-law Abby Bomar; his brothers, Don Rose (Deborah) and Dwayne Rose (Samantha); his sisters-in-law, Karla Banks and Patti Greenway; his mother-in-law Betty Ogilvie Adamson (Grady); his nephew Brayden Banks; his uncle James Blackmon (Ella); and his aunts, Judy Stevens of Virginia, Janice Dotson of Virginia, Jeanette Sykes of Virginia, Hattie Murray of Virginia, Ida Gay Miller of Virginia, Mary Boyd of Virginia and Shelia Street of Virginia. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
