He was predeceased by: his mother Vivian Brewer Merek. He is survived by: his father Thomas Wayne Merek; his brother Keith Marek (Pat "Patty Cake"); his niece Kelly Lawson (Donald); his great-nephew Xain Lawson; and his great-niece Cheza Lawson. He is also survived by other extended family members and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Craig Allen Marek may be made to the Golf Program at the Special Olympics Virginia, 3212 Skipwith Road, Suite 100, Richmond, VA 23294.
