He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Nolan Chalkley Sr. and Gladys Hoffos; his children, Steven Chalkley and Cynthia Jennell; and his sisters, Marjorie Blaylock and Charlene Cournow.
He is survived by: his daughter Patricia Halstead (Lonnie); his brother Clyde Chalkley (Martha); and his grandchildren, Heather Halstead, Cory Halstead, Christopher Jennell, Stephanie Carroll and Kendra Carroll.
