It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Brown (Petersburg, Virginia), born in Dinwiddie, Virginia, who passed away on September 14, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Mabry, Sr. and Daisy Payton Mabry; her grandmother Susan Mabry; her brothers, Levi, Fred, Willie and Harvey Mabry, Jr.; and her husband Douglas Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Ricardo Sewell (Valeria) and Kathy Sewell; her grandchildren, Du'Shawn E. Sewell, Ricardo A. Sewell, Jamar Johnson (Tiffani), Oman J. Sewell, Rachael L. Edmonds and Russell A. Edmonds; her great grandchildren, Ashay Saunders, Xavier T. Sewell and Zora A. Sewell; her nephews, Willie Mabry (Irma) and Vernon Mabry (Parker); her cousin Bertha Lee Manson; and her friends, Mrs Eleanor Williams, Betty Williams Faison, Greg, Cynthia Patterson and Judy Frazier-Lewis.
