Tate (Petersburg, Virginia), born in Westmoreland, Virginia, who passed away on December 2, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gatewood Tate and Mary Tate; and his siblings, Dorothy, Margaret, Berthel, William, Floyd Sr. and Lewarren Sr..
He is survived by: his daughter Patricia V. Cooper; his siblings, Leroy Sr., Lloyd Sr., Norman, Virgie, Alease (William), Mary (Sandra) and Sheila (Simuel); his grandsons, Bruce Jr. and Brent; his great grandchild Bryleigh; and his godchildren, Leroy C. Tate, Jr., Jacquelyn T. Hall, Lamika B. Taylor, Sterling C. Brown, Sr. and Rashawn Tate. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
