She was predeceased by: her parents, Junius Macklin and Louise Baker Macklin; her husband Robert J. Powell; her son Robert Jerome Powell; her siblings, Virginia L. Taylor, Patricia E. Johnson, Junius Macklin, Jr., Benjamin Macklin, Bernard Macklin and Raymond Macklin; her nephew Marcus T. Macklin; and her siblings-in-law, Barbara Jean Macklin, Patsy Macklin, Joe Griffin, William Taylor and Paul Williams.
She is survived by: her caregiver Darrell Powell, Sr.; her grandchildren, Darrell Powell, Jr., Tangere Powell, Brooke Campbell and Cordario Worrell; her great grandchildren, Tamahri Powell and Ayla Cuthrell; her siblings, Delores M. Williams, Robert Macklin, John Macklin and Calvin Macklin; her siblings-in-law, Mary Louise Powell, Hazel Williams and Rev. James Johnson; and also Trevor Walker, Jr.. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc. (102 South Ave, Petersburg, VA 23803-4220). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church (800 Augusta Ave, Petersburg, VA 23803). A burial was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at the Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery (750 Page St, Petersburg, VA 23803).
